This opportunity is great for individuals and groups alike!  Harvesting Hope Community Garden strives to feed people, teach people how to garden and prepare good food in healthy ways, and build great relationships in our community.  We would appreciate your help!  The following tasks make growing good food possible: prepare garden beds for new planting, move soil in wheelbarrows, plant seeds and plants, harvest food, help tend beehives and chickens, composting and working at the greenhouse.  There are occasionally carpentry projects and we often need to mow, especially in the summer.   Follow us on Facebook @harvestinghope2011.  The garden is also a partner with Tarrant Area Food Bank, and a ministry of First Christian Church, Arlington.  Volunteer hours are every Saturday from 8am-1pm in the summer, and 9am to 2pm in cooler months.  Arrangements may be made for groups to volunteer during the week as requested and when possible.  You should also know: no special skills are needed, wear a hat, sunscreen, garden safe shoes, bring allergy medicine if needed.  We will provide gloves, tools, water and restroom facilities. Contact Nancy Redmon at (817) 504-7525 or harvestinghope@att.net.  Thank you for considering volunteering at Harvesting Hope Community Garden!
