More Details

The Japanese Garden at Kidd Springs Park was overlooked for many years.  The Friends of Oak Cliff Parks are working to rehabilitate this unique public space.  Work will include general gardening, some mulching, watering and other summer gardening tasks.  Volunteers should park in the parking lot just east of the Kidd Springs Recreation Center (711 W. Canty on your GPS) and walk down the sidewalk toward the lake.  You will see the Japanese Garden on the right.

Friends of Oak Cliff Parks will provide gloves, water, snacks and work tools. Please wear sturdy shoes and your gardening clothes!   Sun hats are encouraged.  If you have a water bottle, please bring it to save us from recycling plastic bottles.
