What Will I Do as a Summer Camp Volunteer?
We have a wide variety of opportunities for volunteers! If you are available in the mornings, you can assist students with hands-on projects or sports, and assist with high school readiness activities. Afternoon volunteers can assist students in different clubs, or help lead competitions, community service projects, or reflection time. Volunteer responsibilities will vary based on the day and time of the week you are available.
1. Do volunteers need to be there 8 hours a day, 4 days per week?
No. We are flexible and would love to have you volunteer when you are available. We do ask that you commit to staying at least 1 hour.
2. Are there any opportunities to volunteer after 5:00 p.m. or on the weekends?
Unfortunately, our programs only run 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Mondays - Thursdays.
3. I don't like sports but I'm only available in the morning. Do I have to help with sports?
No. You are welcome to volunteer with students in the Hands On Project the entire time.
4. Do I need to complete a background check?
Yes - volunteers will be sent instructions for completing a background and other safety documentation.
