More Details

The Jewish Family Service Food Pantry opens its doors three days per week to make sure the Greater Dallas community has the food they need to feed their families. Up to 180 families leave our Pantry each week with enough food to last their families 3.5 weeks. We need volunteers to make this happen!

As a Food Pantry Interviewer, you'll be the first interaction our clients have when they come through the doors of the Food Pantry. You're job is to make them feel welcomed and comfortable, make sure they complete the proper paperwork, and schedule appointments. You will be equipped to tell them about the other programs and services that JFS has to offer and connect them with a case Manager,. when needed, to make sure they're receiving the wrap-around care that JFS has to offer.

Shifts are on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9am to 11:30am  and 11:30am to 2pm. You can choose to be a regular and come each week, every other week, etc. or you can choose to be a substitute and fill in when other volunteers are out.
