This opportunity is spearheaded by City of Dallas AmeriCorps VISTAS. The VISTA program was formed as part of Mayor Rawlings growSouth initiative. The plan consists of ten goals that primarily focus on people, investments, and location to drive economic growth.  The mission is to reinvigorate and inspire the neighborhoods of traditionally under-served regions by building capacity and promoting community safety.
