More Details

The City of Dallas, Dallas County, and several area hospitals are participating and collaborating in a four-day active shooter full-scale exercise. This is only an exercise. We’re looking for first responders, those in the medical field, or emergency managers to volunteer on May 29 or 30th. Your time and service will help these partners prepare and respond efficiently and effectively in the event of a disaster. Sign up and learn more about disaster preparedness in Dallas and how agencies and hospitals support our community in times of great need.

On May 29-30, Firefighters and police officers will work together to respond to and mitigate an active threat (an active shooter exercise), save lives and property, and respond to the growing number of casualties, frantic family members, and expanding media presence. The medical examiner’s office will work with PD to do body collection on scene and family death notifications.

You must be a first responder, in the Medical Field or an Emergency Manager to be a volunteer on May 29th and/or 30th

Follow up email communications will be sent weekly leading up to the event. We hope you can join us!
