Looking for interns to be involved in the day-to-day operations of the Trauma Care Institute, a program of Trauma Support Services of North Texas, that provides high quality trauma training to professional therapists statewide.

Operations include:program evaluation, research, webinar system management, coordinate trainings, data collection, marketing, and grant reporting.

Internship Responsibilities:

·      Research and cultivate community partnership opportunities for training sponsorships

·      Create, collect, and analyze training evaluations, 

·      Make recommendations for program improvement 

·      Assist in preparation and logistics, training execution and data entry

·      Create and send marketing materials 


Additional Opportunities: 

·      Will have the opportunity to participate in, and learn about, grant budgeting, management, reporting, and writing

·      Will have the opportunity to participate in, and learn about, additional communications initiatives, such as social media 


Skills and attributes interns are expected to have: 

·      Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in a social services field

·      Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook 

·      Strong attention to detail and task oriented

·      Ability to work with diverse groups of individuals 

·      Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

·      Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills 

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills 


Note: This internship does not include direct practice hoursThis is an unpaid internship opportunity. The role will require travel to training sites in DFW Metroplex. Travel expenses to training may bereimbursed.
