As a Wonderkit Team Leader

During the Wonderkit, volunteers will work in small groups with students on a STEM-based activity. Volunteers will help facilitate conversation between the All-Stars, and encourage the students to think creatively about a solution. For example, for the “Create-A-Pult” activity, each team creates a catapult to launch an object using materials such as wooden sticks, tape, plastic spoons, pompom balls, and rubber bands. The team that launches the object the farthest or the most accurately will win the competition. In conclusion, the ASAS staff will lead facilitated discussion about the STEM- based lesson learned from the activity.

Wonderkit opportunities are ongoing and available at all six ASAS school sites. Please reach out if this date or location does not work for you, but you would like to explore other volunteer opportunities.
