More Details

Community Based Program -- The “classic” Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring model, where the Big takes the child into the community (to libraries, sporting or cultural events, the mall, the park, or just hang out) in order to spend time together 2-4 times a month.

Areas of greatest need:

Ø  We need Big Brothers!

More than 70 percent of our children waiting for a Big are boys, but only 3 out of every 10 inquiries to volunteer come from men.

We also match Big Sisters with Little Brothers who are 11 or younger. If you are interested in that option, we need you!

Ø  In Tarrant County, the majority of our waiting Little Brothers & Little Sisters are south of I-30, and even south of I-20. We also have several Little Brothers in West Forth Worth, outside of Loop 820.

In Denton County, our biggest need is Little Brothers in Lewisville and the city of Denton.
