Wings of Hope provides equine assisted activities to children and adults with unique physical, mental, and emotional challenges. 
All volunteers start as a side walker, walking next to rider and horse during weekly lessons. 

Lessons are held in a covered arena or outdoor trail.  Lessons involve activities for riders to gain tools to help in their everyday life. 

Volunteer requirements
  • At least 14 years old
  • Physically fit-able to walk over uneven ground/sand for an hour
  • Effectively communicate with rider, instructor, and volunteers
  • Commit to the same lesson each week, 1 1/2 hours weekly
  • No horse experience required
