Crisis Intervention

·        Learning about crisis intervention (phone and face to face client interaction)

·        Suicide intervention

·        Hospital crisis intervention

·        Specialized support for different populations (including children and those with disabilities)

·        Information and referral support

·        Gaining knowledge of the Justice and Legal Advocacy program

·        Completion of a Certified Sexual Assault Advocacy Program (Office of the Attorney General)


Business and Non-profit Management

·        Gaining experience of working in a professional office

·        Grant Writing

·        Scheduling

·        Customer service skills

·        Being involved with vital fundraising events

·        Marketing

·        Understanding non-profit agencies


Education and Prevention

·        Experiencing facets of educational outreach

·        Outcome measures

·        Training law enforcement and hospital personnel

·        Presenting to different types of groups (children-adults)
